I have a 2015 with the 2.7, I had my oil pan replaced a month ago for the 3rd time. 700 miles later its leaking again. The silicone sealant obviously isn't working I don't know why they don't make a gasket. I would really like to hear from one of the FORD service reps on this site.

I don't get the "I'll be crawling under my truck" comments. Can't you look at the ground under your truck and see if it is leaking or not?

LoneWolfTrucker, if your truck has the removal "superwizbang blanket" under the oil pan, you will not see on the floor. I removed mine to install the RCI skid plates, when I remove the blanket I noticed it had adsorbed the oil. When I did my first oil change, I did noticed a small amount of oil on the seam above the drain plug, I cleaned the area and thought I keep an eye on it to make sure that's where it's coming from. 2nd oil change confirmed the leak.............dealer next month for possible warranty fix.

Ah okay. Doesn't sound like much of a leak though.

There is no excuse for a new truck leaking. My truck was leaking with 30 miles on the odometer.

Are these leaks hitting the ground? I removed my oil pan "diaper" after my first oil change - some 40,000 miles ago. Change the oil every 5k and really haven't looked for any signs of a leak - but my truck does get a full undercarriage wash at least weekly - sometimes 2 or 3 times a week.

No oil spots on my driveway.

You won't see oil spots on the driveway due to the "diaper" hiding everything. Get under it and look up at the screws holding the pan to the block. Oil accumulates on the screw heads and around the seal. Both my 2015 2.7L and my new 2017 3.5L had the exact same oil leak. Unless you do your own oil changes you won't notice it. And Ford dealer sure as heck won't tell you its leaking if you have them do your oil changes. I'm willing to bet the vast majority of these trucks will plastic oil pans are leaking and the owners don't even know. It's not easy for everyone to crawl under the middle of the truck to check it out.

See above - oil pan diaper hasn't been on my truck since it's 1st oil change at 1,000 miles. I do all my own oil changes - not a spot on the driveway. She'll hit 44k miles today.

Did you check the pan screws?

Mine was a VERY slow leak (still annoying). So, a weekly under carriage wash would definitely wash away any hints of a leak if the diaper is no longer there to protect from water.
