I was assured every time that they would do everything in their power to properly fix my truck. Even still I was prepared for my truck to be gone for a few days. I loaded my motorcycle so I would have wheels while my truck was being serviced. After my truck was done I talked to the tech again and he explained that the update was not in plain sight. He had to dig for about 45 min before he found the proper update. I dropped off my truck at 9am and it was done at 1pm! I drove it home and the ACC works flawlessly (so far). I am going to keep testing and see what happens but so far so good. I truly think the experience of the tech matters most. I was told that the update isn't in an easy place to find. I hope this helps and sorry that others have had negative experiences!
UPDATE: I have put over 200 miles on my truck and have passed several tanker trucks and overpasses. I have had 0 incidents. I know the system works because it slows down and speeds up as normal! I think Ford has fixed it. Now the next problem is getting the techs to find the right update!

Default Vehicle Health Report after update

Does anyone else get "uncertain" listed under "Restraints and Driver Assistance" on the vehicle health report after having the ACC update?

These are the tech notes on my work order. This should point your tech in the right direction.
"8986 M-time 0.30 verified customer concern. Performed diagnostics. Retrieved DTC U2100 from cruise control module due to module being reprogrammed on last visit per SSM 45203. Contacted Ford hotline ref #109001797 and was advised to perform PMI on CCM using as built data. Performed PMI on CCM. Then cleared codes and retest (passed) CCM is at latest calibration level. CC 04 CP 19E731."

Hope this helps. My ACC is working flawlessly now....so far.

Had my ACC put in other week. Drove it and still didn't work. Went to dealer they told me from the day before they were still waiting for engineering to call them back...been 2 weeks no call back yet. I was in the 3rd lane and a lowboy with a D6 on the 1st lane and the dam truck hit the binders and I had collision warning.

My truck was manufactured last month and has ACC. I have passed many semi-trailers and a few tankers that were painted white and I have not had any issues yet but I'm cautious. I'm hoping that they put the new code in my truck at the factory.

I was curious for those of you with the issue. if you do not have cruise turned on and pass a subject tanker does the collision alert still kick off or does ACC have to be actually on?

My truck completed build 7/7/15, and I have not had a problem with my ACC either.

Collision alert is independent of ACC; I have had my collision alert go off without the ACC on and there not be anything in front of me. The difference is the collision alert only precharges the brakes and the ACC will actually "stomp" the brake pedal for you. But if the brakes are charged and your foot instinctively touches that pedal when the collision alert starts screaming at you, the brakes work really well... too well if there's nothing actually there...

I was cruising down I-80 this morning and my collision alert went off and the truck slammed on the brakes. This was all in response to a crane truck that was two lanes to the right of me. Nobody was in the middle lane between myself and the truck at the time.

Not a good thing to have happen with the traffic as dense as it was.
