Just a suggestion to the OP. Post the parts list on the first post for reference. Might save a bunch of questions as to, what are the parts for this.

So, I cut 8" of straight metal off a coat hanger and stuck that in there. Got ihe airbag off in under a minute. It doesn't take much force to push the two spring loaded pins on the airbag that retain the airbag to the two metal hooks on the wheel.

I would NOT recommend using anything wood. There is essentially a narrow plastic funnel on each side that guides your tool to the pins. If you bust something in there that plugs the funnel, you are screwed.

Who knew?
Wow! I used a long Allen wrench, gently pushed and out it came.

Update on stop & go: I have the 2018 CADS module & an '18 IPMA, '18 ABS module. First order of business is to just connect the CADS CCM module but our existing connector is 18 pins (with only 4 being used) and the new CADS module's connector is 8 pins (4 used). So now I have to rig up some kind of adapter between the two because I'm not cutting into my existing wiring in case this experiment goes south lol. The other issue is that this CADS unit is about 1/2 the size of our existing CCM so I need to track down the CCM bracket for it also.

Anxiously awaiting your next update. Guessing the connector isn’t of the style where there are pins (a la tow mirrors mod) that can be pulled?

I don't know, I'm gonna have to pull off that bumper trim piece again and see if something can be MacGyver'd just to test this thing.

I bet I t won’t go south make sure you add the dedicated com wiring between CADS to IPMA. The CADS just the Radar now and all the processing looks to be done in the IPMA. Bummer though looks like a lot of new eq to make this change happen now. Just what I though it take. The other caveat is, I bet you there’s a new alignment program to get to CADS and the IPMA aligned.

Your into this pretty deep. Can you get the pig tail for the new CADS module and repin it like the XLT guys half to do to the door locks when adding the lariat door harness?

Yeah but the pigtail is $27 so I'll see if I can rig something like terminal sockets and some wire to see if it works first.

i bet if you look up that font wire harness it will cost you about the same. I bet connector C134 is the same and you will only have to pin the wires in other spots to work.

Yeah, the Allen wrenches I had that were long enough were too fat. Oh well. I was dry running it so I'd know how to do it when the parts get here. So, now I won't get all pissed off when I have parts in hand....
