Hey. I'm still doing research as I wait for my parts to arrive. I'm a little confused. In the "how to" in this thread, it lists the following Forscan changes.
CCM
764-01-01 0816 0101 8D
0764-02-01 1st 5 digits of VIN (Converted to Hex Values)
0764-02-02 2nd 5 digits of VIN (Converted to Hex Values)
0764-02-03 3rd 5 digits of VIN (Converted to Hex Values)
0764-02-04 Last 2 digits of VIN (Converted to Hex Values)
Alternatively, copy your ABS (760-01-01 thru 760-01-04) values into CCM (764-02-01 thru 764-02-04). Your VIN is already in ABS so just transfer same values at the above address to the CCM addresses listed above and you won't have to do any hex conversion.
When I look in Livitup's Forscan spreadsheet for 2016 Platinum 3.5 EB (I have a 2015 Lariat), I see some potential additional changes in the BCM under 726-13-01
Do I have to change anything for the first * at this address to get the forward collision warning?
Does the "4" in the second * spot at this address enable Collision Mitigation by Braking on my 2015 Lariat? If not, what does the "4" do? Is there another setting that adds Collision mitigation by braking on a 2015?
The 2015 manual states that this system only warns the driver and pre-charges the braking system. It says that it doesn't apply the brakes.
Thanks!

I can't definitively answer your question since I haven't had the collision avoidance trigger yet on my truck. However, I can say that the red LED's on the dash (the HUD) activate briefly at engine start and I get no DCT's, so I presume that the collision avoidance system is properly activated. And my BCM 726-13-01 is set to xxxC 4xxx xxxx. I don't believe the collision avoidance applies the brakes; just pre-charges them. I could be wrong - as I said; I've not had it trigger yet. Maybe someone who has had it trigger can comment.
One note though... I noticed in your post that you are showing the SCCM 724-03-01 value as x2xx xxxx xx. However, be sure that value is actually set at 12xx xxxx xx. More than likely your first digit is already a "1" - probably the first two are currently "11". The thing to remember is that after installing ACC, the first two digits should be "12" to indicate the steering wheel switch is the ACC type; not the base cruise type ("11").

I have the following values in my '16 and and your '15 BCM is identical to mine:
726-13-01 4xxC 4xxx xxxx
You probably already have a default value of 4 here anyways: 726-13-01 4xxx xxxx xxxx so the only change you need to make is the C,4 726-13-01 xxxC 4xxx xxxx
The spreadsheet is pretty vague for the descriptions for that address because the other software I used to map out the values gave me those same vague descriptions
I'm considering adding Adaptive Cruise Control to my 2016 XLT 302A. I've looked and do not have the HUD connector so I need to add one. I can order pigtail WPT-983, which needs: HS2 CAN+, HS2 CAN-, 12V Constant, 12V Switched, Negative
There are several places to pick up the HS2 CAN connections, however, I'd prefer to not splice into original wiring harnesses. Based on the attached diagram, is it possible to purchase a male and a female pigtail for connector C210, C263 or C145 and create a plug-n-play adapter by connecting the 2 pigtails (tail to tail) together so it would plug into each side of the existing connector? It would be easy to tap into the HS2 CAN leads this way, and have an easy to add/remove connection for the HUD. How can I determine if there is a male and female pigtail pair for one of these connectors - something like pigtails WPT-1362 (female) and WPT-1363 (male). Of course any connector which has the HS2 CAN connections will work, I've just listed 3 which I figured were on my mostly stock truck.
I need help to:
1. determine what connector number (WPT-xxx) is used for any of these connectors - C210, C263 or C145
2. Is there a male and female pigtail for a given connector
3. Location of the connector (hopefully one under the dash near the steering wheel)
I had considered WPT-955 which I believe is the Electric Trailer Brake connector but I don't think there is a male pigtail for that connection.... This would also work for the CCM power at the connector near the passenger headlight.
Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction?
C210 has both pigtails listed: WPT-1463 & WPT-1482
C264 has WPT-1425 listed
C145 has both pigtails listed: WPT-1288 & WPT-1171
You can pickup HS2 CAN+, HS2 CAN- at C226 in the steering column which is easy to access and would be my pick to run to HUD because of proximity. I attached a bunch of pdfs that should help you out
So, I spent an hour sticking all sorts of long things into the two holes in the steering wheel trying to release the airbag. No dice. Got really frustrated. Then I watched/listened to the linked video very closely. Got just enough out of it to deduce that every tool I was jamming in there was too fat. So, I cut 8" of straight metal off a coat hanger and stuck that in there. Got ihe airbag off in under a minute. It doesn't take much force to push the two spring loaded pins on the airbag that retain the airbag to the two metal hooks on the wheel.
I would NOT recommend using anything wood. There is essentially a narrow plastic funnel on each side that guides your tool to the pins. If you bust something in there that plugs the funnel, you are screwed.
Who knew?
