IDS is always available as a fallback position to load a complete asbuilt if needed.

You might contacted FORScan thru the forscan.org site? This sounds like the type of project that you could become a Beta-Tester for them... They may be able to write a calibration protocol and send it to you, for you to verify that it works, and then it can be added to a later version update and others may be able to do this without IDS.... Just a Thought...

I'd like to see someone pull it off on FORScan alone. If you have any modules giving you a hard time, let me know and I'll send you the data I have on FORScan.

Quick question for you: I have IDS/VCMII but don't have a programming subscription.

Do I need one to do the PMI on a new CCM module or can I just input the asbuilt hex data in forscan and have the CCM function?

If not, any chance you would still have the bin file in your IDS folder for the CCM and would be willing to send it to me so I can do the PMI?

It will likely want the vin either way, I'm not sure if I can do that any other way than using IDS.

To be candid, I can't remember if I ran a PMI on the CCM. I believe I just ran an AB. You should be able to do a manual AB entry with the data below OR use FORScan that way you don't have to calc the checksum. The CCM is VIN coded, so you will need to input your hexadecimal VIN in place of the guinea pig VIN in red.

Here is the CCM AB data, using the guinea pig VIN: 1FTEW1EG0GFD19793

764-01-01: 0816-0101-8D

764-02-01: 3146-5445-57D5
764-02-02: 3145-4730-47A3
764-02-03: 4644-3139-379B
764-02-04: 3933-DD

Thanks, I'll tuck that away on my word doc and try it out when I get to that point.

I suck at hex, never was very good at it to start with. I'll look online for a calculator....

The hex value is capital sensitive, right?

Edit* nevermind. Answered my own question by looking at your sample vin and the hex values. D'oh!

So, as I'm reading through the parts list and looking at the pictures others have posted of the parts, am I correct in thinking that the fog light harness has to be swapped out for this mod? Is the connector and wiring for the distance sensor wired in to the same harness as the fog lights?

I have a Platinum, and I'm wondering if I will even need that harness or if the connector for the distance sensor is already there and just dead-headed with a protective cap? (Currently offshore so can't easily get to the truck to start looking around for it)

It's one harness. See below.

Can you add this to a 13 model?
