The notification isnt as loud as I thought it would be, but I like how it muted the stereo while it beeps for you to hear it. Nifty gadget. Now to test ACC over labor day.

Thanks y'all for the input/posts/how-tos

would be interesting to know if the improved system would work with our existing firmware...

Will likely need more than a module. Wiring, module, forscan changes, and likely more will be required.

Count me in.

So, if you look at the 2018, it appears they kept the same lower bumper valance (where the radar sensor is). That's promising. Wonder if the new module replaces the module we've got in the 2015-2017 trucks?

The programming differences and any new components will take one of our Forscan guru's to figure out once they have access to a 2018 with the new ACC.

And if this is true, a new/revised camera mounted by the rearview mirror maybe?

I'm a hell of a lot more interested in the pedestrian detection and pre-collision assistance. Old man's lot has 10 '18s already but none high-end that included the tech pack, so no chance to see how these gadgets work.
