Mine doesn't seem that loud. I think it plays through the speakers like the rest of the chimes. Does yours play through the IPC, Livin?
I honestly can't remember but it was loud. If you were listening to semi-loud music it wouldn't be that alarming but last time it happened I was listening to a baseball game broadcast and I thought I was gonna have a heart attack when it went off.

I was expecting it to be fully autonomous braking like GM and Subarus. Still, its better than nothing. Still worth the 500 bucks and bumper removal IMO.

haha I couldn't miss an opportunity.

It's only a collision warning system. It just pre-charges the brakes to cut down on the reaction time needed to fully apply the brakes.

Yeah I'm by no means bagging on ACC, I think it's the best feature and you'll love it on any long highway/freeway drive.

It has worked well for me when I was approaching stopped traffic with the cruise set. I was traveling 65 on the interstate and crested a hill with some traffic on the other side and along with the warning, it scrubbed quite a bit of speed off before I hit the brake myself. I was probably down to 35 before I took any action. It wasn't a panic brake either, but it was very firm and smooth.

I've used it in low speed traffic, It'll slow down to about 15 before giving you a polite warning chime and disengaging the cruise.

Have you approached a shiny gas tanker trailer yet in the lane to the right and have it pull off an immediate braking out of the blue? Good times there!

Ok after looking at my harness (Picture below) I have the two high speed CANBUS wires on the truck side of the harness(10 wires female connector.) However 2 wires are not used(might be three dont know since it was tight in there) on the FOG/shutter/BOV side of the harness. So per livinitup diagram, gy-bu gn-og wires are on the truck side but not on the FOG/shutter/BOV harness.

Does this mean that I should be able to get the proper FOG/shutter/BOV harness listed in the beginning of the thread and have this work? I already confirmed that I have the
HUD harness installed.

If someone can confirm this for me I will put in the order to get all the parts.

2015 2.7 XLT 302a

Thanks again!
