Looking at the parts list I see a HUD. What does this do? Is it just the line of lights shown in the pictures or do you also get readouts like speed etc?

I think the consensus was that some of the wiring needed is not present - but hopefully someone who knows definitively will chime in.

If the dash wiring is not there, then you would have to add it. From my understanding, that's no small feat

Might have to pop open the little panel on the dash where the HUD goes. That would be one check. If that harness is attached to the underside of the panel, then you could check for the pins in the harness under the front bumper.

Process takes 30 minutes from set-up through test drive. If it's more than one hour of labor I would question the charges.
