Adaptive Cruise Control *Added*
False. Not anymore. You can use the current FORScan with any approved OBD adaptor to calibrate the radar. I've done it on mine. If you're trying to do lane-keeping, that's another story, you might need the dealer programming. But this thread is Adaptive Cruise Control added.
Yes, the camera and radar programming has always been done through Forscan.
Edit: DCM is a good reference for 2015-2017s. I did not recall that at one time eons ago Forscan could not do the CCM programming. Now it can so the vcx nano and IDS are not required since there is no abs module swap.

Thank you for your reply.
This is for 2018, 2019 vehicles, but does it apply to 2016 as well?
My car has the 2016 Lariat/502a option, so it has the line keeping function and I am installing it to add Adaptive Cruise. I have all the hardware installed and just need to complete the program, but it is stopped because of IDS.

It sounds like you're close, and have the best case optioned truck to complete the work.
Based on your response I'm not sure if you have done an adaptive cruise conversion. I'm also not sure why you are writing in all bold font.
The question did not reference calibrating the CCM, but is about the usage of IDS to program the new ABS module.

However, as I said, "I've done it on mine." I've also stated such and created a post in this thread with some suggestions for the process. Adaptive Cruise Control *Added* - Page 216 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans
If you're trying to do lane-keeping, that's another story, you might need the dealer programming; I've no idea. My 2017 Lariat doesn't have the windshield and I'm not interested anyway. But, as I mentioned, this thread is "Adaptive Cruise Control added", not lane-keeping added, so that led to my confusion and comments. Also, adding adaptive cruise doesn't require changing out the ABS module, at least not on my model, so no IDS required. I suggest a separate thread for lane-keeping, not merged into this ACC thread?
Ok, so David can follow your prior feedback for 2015-2017. Thanks for the reminder that the ABS module does not need to be changed out or programmed on this year. In that case I agree, IDS and therefore the VCXNano are not required.
I have a 2015 F150 502A Lariat with the 5.0. I added all the parts and the wiring harness as well. I have power at pin 10 with ground at pin 8, however the C-CM does not show up in forscan. When I plug in the module a few seconds later I get the collision assist is not working alert and the cruise and adaptive cruise its not selectable. I made all the forscan changes except the C-CM because it will not show. It is a used unit off another 2015 f150. What could it be?
Starting simple: have you deleted your vehicle profile in Forscan so when you reconnect it will re scan for all installed modules? I know this has caught a few people.
Used should be fine unless it was seriously damaged, they aren't locked or paired.

Exactly - delete the old Forscan profile. Thanks mbrick!
