Honestly, having a 2015 or 2016 seems to be a blessing with some of these mods.

Well, I guess I'll tackle this mod once I'm done with the TCU mod (just waiting on antennas now). I think the most challenging part of the installation will be the hud harness (which I don't have).

just don’t add the HUD. I didn’t add it and never will.

I didn't add it either - works fine without it.

Anyone tried an aftermarket sensor? I'm seeing them online for about half the price of the OEM sensor. I'm not trying to be cheap and will gladly pay for quality, just curious.

RockAuto has the SMP CCD18 for $320 shipped - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=9719948&jsn=3

I am selling a ford sensor and harness for 330 including shipping. You would need to verify if this will fit your truck and package.

This is to show mine is the exact same one

From what I can tell, that part number is for a 18-19 F150. I don't see anything that says it's compatible with a 17 F150 but I'll keep digging. I'd gladly buy it from you if I can confirm it will work.

I was going to get that one but decided to call around to salvage yards instead to see if I could find a decent used oem one. It took a few calls, but I found one for $250 that I'll get tomorrow....just have to hope it works lol.
Just search car-parts.com under "camera projector" and select "radar unit, front, (behind LH bumper)" and start calling the places that pop up. You should find a good deal if you're willing to get a used module.

Followed storkpkp's guide and got my salvage yard module installed without issue! The only part of my install that I did different was to remove the grille instead of the bumper. ACC works better than I expected. Thanks to everyone who put in the work and shared the knowledge to figure out how to add this to our trucks.
