Do you have a screen in your advanced settings to choose adaptive cruise or normal?

I had this screen a couple times while trying different values, but now only have a sensitivity selection for collision avoidance.

It was my understanding that adaptive cruise trucks had the ability to turn adaptive on or off. If there is another screen, I've still got a value "off" somewhere....I've got a couple ideas where it might be in the IPC...Name: ththinking-1.gif

But still have something wrong. There is no response to the cruise buttons and adaptive can't be selected in the settings.

It's either in the IPC or the C-CM. each is throwing a code that something is wrong with the other. I'm betting I have something not quite right in the IPC.

My vin hex works out to: 31 46 54 46 57 31 45 47 38 47 46 43 30 38 31 30 36 (1FTFW1EG8GFC08106), so unless forscan is making a checksum error the c-cm should be good to go.

I'm so close I can taste it, and I think that's exactly why I can't see the problem: I'm too close to it. Forest through the trees type thing.

I was worried maybe I had ordered the wrong module for build date, but my truck is 28/4/16 and I confirmed my module was ordered for after 8/4/16.

I've fired a PM off to livnitup to see if he has any ideas where to go next...little lost right now. Any ideas appreciated.

did you try different SCCM values at 724-03-01?

Nope. But, it's working now with the new IPC values. No DTC's, it's all clean.

Just have to figure out why I don't have a "cruise control" screen in the advanced settings. I've still got a value off somewhere as it's on adaptive cruise all the time with no option to turn it off to "normal" cruise.

they talk to each other don't they? Ipc/sccm could be worth a shot as there are a few values that say they are different types of ACC?

Just noticed the comment about the CCM module having 3 different versions, based on build date. Could you throw the part numbers up for the 3 different versions and corresponding build dates they go with? My truck had a February or March 2016 build date so I'm guessing I may need a different module than you?

Also, is it possible to change out the wiring harness without removing the front bumper (obviously is easier to do with bumper off).

Got it.

720-01-01: XDXX-XXXX-XXXX

Changed to XFXX-XXXX-XXXX and now have "Cruise" options in advanced settings.

At this point, I'm calling adaptive cruise complete!

Yeah, I'm not trying to be a d!¢k, but you're going to have to look that stuff up yourself. Rock auto has them all listed. I'd be giving you a pure guess as to which does and does not work on your truck. All I can say for certain as they are listed by build dates and which one works on my truck. It's a 400 buck bill and I'm not going out on a limb and having you buy one on my word and it be wrong. I believe EBMorgan used the same sensor I did and he has a 2015. But I can't confirm if it will work on yours or not. It MAY be just slightly different firmware or running hardware changes, or it may be something incompatible with other years. I just don't know.

Bumper has to come off. No way around it. Not unless you have the hands of a 2 year old and 3 foot long arms that is....

Sweet. I'll have to change that on mine.

Glad I could give something back.
