Actual horsepower of the F150 5.0 V8.
I know that in the past Ford underrated horsepower of their engines; is the case of the Coyote V8 in the F150 or is 395 the real horsepower?

Unless you get the engine dyno'd, you'd have to trust the Ford specs.

I believe I saw a dyno of 345 rwhp. Assuming 15% loss that’s 395. Furthermore, the stock torque demand table only calls for 395-400 hp IIRC, so even if it’s capable of more (it probably is) then the pcm won’t let it make more.

Go to 5STAR tunings website and look at his graphs.
Its not your exact truck, but it’ll be in the ball park.
These things are so over motored compared to the pickups I started driving in the 70’s that I find myself chuckling a lot.
