Hahaha... guys. Guys... come on.

Mr. One-Time-Poster claimed the Eco made more power, as in horsepower. I was only setting the record straight on that one point.

barchief set the record straight on the point of Max Tow and the engine required. Point taken.

Power can be a complex term... more torque gives you towing and takeoff power, whereas Horsepower would give you top end power...

For example... in drag racing, your 60 foot time is usually an indicator of how much torque you are producing and the proper application of said torque.

your speed at the end of the 1/4 mile is usually an indication of how much horsepower you are bringing.

if two vehicles have identical 1/4 mile times, and one was going faster at the finish line, that means he was putting out more HP... the other guy probably did a better job of applying his torque upon takeoff

So this is not in the 5.0 Lariat?

Um No. Because the 5.0 is a V8 and so it does not need a supplement to sound like one.

I finally got my truck back into the dealer to fix a broken tailgate step handle and asked them to turn off the "Enhanced Engine Sound". They looked at me like I was crazy and said it wasn't possible to do that. Once I showed them the IDS screenshot in this thread, they quickly went in and disabled it for me, free of charge.

I love the sound (or lack thereof) in my cab now!
