Access Lorado / Truxedo LoPro

maybe, i have never found that to be the case though, i can open and close the tailgate without interfering with the cover....only restriction i found was that obviously you have to open the tailgate to access the cover release..

Cover looks great on that truck! Thanks.
I ended up ordering the Access Lorado based mostly on the 10 years I had one on my last truck. The Truxedo looks pretty similar -- I think the profile is lower but only by 1/4".
I'm not surprised, actually, that the remote release works normally. I think the forum would have plenty of action on that topic if it didn't. But when I talked to Truxedo, they recommend that cover always be closed AFTER the gate. They do that regardless of whether the gate has a remote release -- it's in their owner's manual because it ensures that the weather seal ends up in the right place. But it shouldn't surprise me that the cover works fine even if you don't follow that advice or someone would have said something about it here.
Access told me the exact opposite -- that the cover should be closed BEFORE the gate is closed to ensure that the cover latches properly. And again, I suspect it doesn't matter much on a properly installed cover. I never, in 10 years, paid any attention to whether the cover or gate closed first.
I'll post a few photos when mine is installed. I'm sure the Lorado and LoPro QT are both good products.

Just coming back to update this thread that I started. Since Bull53 put up some nice photos of the Truxedo, I'll follow suit on my Access Lorado which I just installed yesterday. Installation, as I recalled from previous experience, was easy and effective. As long as I had the rails even with the bedrails on the truck, the cover does not interfere with the electric gate release. It interfered slightly the first time I tried, but I tightened the tension and the gate worked perfectly after that. I haven't had it in a car wash or the rain yet. There are seals in at every corner to keep water out. I am not sure how the seal along the gate (basically a vinyl flap) will work, but I think I could reduce tension a touch, still have operation of the gate, and gain a slightly better seal.
It is, I think, hard to tell the difference between this and the Truxedo from the outside. The Truxedo is a 1/4" lower profile. That's a slight difference and might be noticeable up close. But for me, I think I prefer the slightly steeper velcro straps which make me feel like I can pull the cover tighter side-to-side. That might just be my imagination though.
Mostly, I went with Access because my wife almost slapped me in the face and said, "The last one you bought still looked new 10 years after you installed it! What more do you want?" And I said, "umm . . . " and ordered the Access.
