Access Adarac info needed
Hi all.
New 2016 Ruby Red metallic XLT supercrew owner here. I bought my truck (6.5 box) to use towing our outback camper and take our 3 kayaks with us. I have been doing PLENTY of reading of threads on this forum about kayak hauling. I have pretty much settled on the Access Adarac due to its price, ease of install, and allowance of the use of a tonneau cover with the rack.
I have a few questions I would like to try to get answers to before I place an order.
Since our trucks are aluminum, is there a concenern about galvonic corrosion mounting this with the steel plates in the stake holes? Should I insulate them with some kind of rubber or coating? Also on the subject of the stake holes - I think I read somewhere that due to the plastic bed covers on the sides leaving a small gap withn the stake hole covers are removed, it is recommended to shim that game using a fender washer or something similar. Is that true?
I welcome any input from company reps or owners using this rack.
Thanks in advance!
