I'd be down to test drive one. But I doubt I would actually purchase one.

The other strange thing is, when you do a build, there is no option to select the Max Tow package with the diesel. It's definitely there with the EB3.5. The diesel build shows "Tow Package Included". Fuel tank on the diesel shows as 98L (25.9 Gallons). Maybe it's just early days and the configuration options aren't fully complete.

I just did a build and my 17 is now 750 cheaper. Same options that I could see. And confirm the 6900.for the diesel. Didn't want it anyways but sheesh.

The 3.5 eco will still be the king for max tow most likely. It still has the most power. The diesel will just get better fuel mileage. Especially when towing. Maybe the diesel comes in an as is package with the tow equipment standard. Only problem. If these numbers transfer over to the US it's about an 8k option vs a 2600 option for the eco boost. That's big diesel territory almost. If some tow equipment is standard with the diesel it will help justify the cost but still pretty pricey just to get better fuel economy and Less power.

It's doubtful that you'll be able to option the 36gal. fuel tank on the diesels... they have to put the DEF tank somewhere.

Diesels have always been something that if you didn't put on huge mileage, or tow a lot, aren't worth it.

Yikes, never. Only if I towed several times a week, or drove more than I already do (88k on my 2015), or planned to keep it for 10-15+ years. I'm sure it would be a great work/fleet truck, but it's definitely not for the everyman to be used as a daily commuter...

People love to pay more and get less. Nothing new here. So long as fuel savings are in the pitch.
