Default 60mph whine

Got my truck about a month ago used 2015 2.7 supercrew 4x4. Love the truck got it with 20,300 miles and I have about 21,800 on it now. Truck has been flawless except for one issue. While accelerating oe putting load on the throttle at exactly 60mph I get a hum/whine. If I let off the gas or just coast/decel it stops. Any speed above or below 60mph is perfectly quiet. I've seaeched and seen other people had this issue and Im fairly sure it is ring and pinion related. I have an extended service plan 4 yrs 48,000. The deliemma Im having is it seems like its hit or miss on actually getting it fixed with some people saying it was fixed only to return or it was even worse after the attempted fix. I'm kind of on the fence on just waiting if it doesnt get any worse or shift speed ranges I may just let it go. My previous truck a 2016 ram did the same thing but at about 40mph. So I am kinda wondering is some gear noise normal or acceptable or should I bite the bullet and let ford tear into it and hope for the best? Any other owners with a 3.55 have a similar noise?
