The 502a upgrade just went up about $750 for XPlan. (was $6392 now $7123)

Not sure if it's a glitch or if Ford got the price up. Has anyone else noticed this?

 

Went up because the 2.7 is no longer the standard engine for the 502A.

 

I'm guessing the new standard motor would be the 3.5 NA motor then?

 

With the price difference, I'm guessing the 5.0. You can't get the NA 3.5 on the Lariat.

 

Point made. I'm guessing it would border over 1k if it were the 3.5.

 

When was it made the standard engine and what is now? If I remember right when I bought my 2015 I couldn't get the 502A and the 2.7. And I think the 5.0 was the standard engine at the time. The 3.5TT was a $1300.00 up grade and I figured that I could spend that money on free gas for the 5.0 making the 1mpg difference not worth it.

 

2.7 was supposed to be standard with the 502A with late availability. A memo went out to dealers that it was no longer going to be an option on the 2016 trucks, but all current orders would have price protection with the new standard engine.


Maybe for 2017. Who knows.

 

When does the 2017 model year start?

 

I just tried a fresh build. 502a defaults to 2.7EB.. +$1280 for the 3.5 and +$732 for the 5.0.


I ordered my truck and put deposit down two weeks ago with my dealer but the order hasn't gone in to ford yet. I hope my price isn't affected..

 

Your dealer hasn't sent it into Ford yet?

If you ordered a 502A with the 2.7, your order will either be kicked out or it will default to the new standard engine.
