Default 501A vs. 502A Lariat Sport

I have been comparing 2 Lariat's one has 501A and the other 502A. Both add the sport package which is the look I want. In compairing the stickers and the for package guide. As best I can tell the 502A only adds.

- Sony Stereo
- Heated Steering Wheel / Rear Headed seats
- LED head and tail lights
- Chrome handles ( Other chrome is dropped because of sport package )

The dealer with the 501A config added voice nav.

All in all unless I am totally missing something? The 502A is 3K more and has very little added value ( To me )

The 502a also adds
Power Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column with Memory
and Automatic High Beam with Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers.

Thanks saw those also. 501a has Wiper activated headlamps, maybe not High Beams, and tilt / telescope str column. Just not power with mem. No far off for anything I need.

You get your moneys worth with the 502A. I love getting in the truck and the seat and steering wheel readjust to your settings. The led head lights alone make the truck look sick. In a good way I mean. The rear heated seats are a nice thing. My wife who is always cold likes them when she has to sit with the baby in the back. So it's not like I don't care about my passengers as some ppl say. The only options I didn't get was the tech package, lane dep warning and self parking. I only regret not getting all the cameras. Would have liked a front end camera. By the way, if you live in a cold climate area, that heated steering wheel is really nice

For me it was not worth it. I got 501a and added stereo. Only thing I wanted was the LED headlights, so the extra $3k or so was not worth it. If I wanted all that, then it would have been.

According to the brochure, 502A adds the following:

Chrome package (I guess that's cancelled out by your sports package)
Bucket seats w/ floor shifter
Heated rear seats
Extra power outlet on rear of console
Sony sound system
Navigation
Power tilt/telescoping wheel
Heated wheel
LED lamps
Auto high beams
Rain sensing wipers

I really wanted the 502A, but decided against it to keep the cost down. My difference was around $1500 because I had already added navigation & bucket seats to the 501A package. I'll use that $1500 for accessories.

I really wanted the LED lamps though. The look from the front is badass with the amber ring around the headlight. I can live without everything else. I'm hoping for an affordable aftermarked upgrade for the amber ring only, but I'm not sure that's even possible without converting/replacing the entire headlamps.

Agreed with most... I would have really liked the LED headlights, but not for the price of going to the 502A trim, with all the extra stuff I really don't want...

I agree...

Ford says 'Hey, either take ancient technology Halogen headlights or spend $52K+ and get modern headlights'.

Does the 502a give you power folding mirrors? I took delivery of my truck which is a 502a package and I was surprised it didn't have power folding mirrors
