5.0L chirp sound at idle
Anyone else with a 2016 5.0L hear a chirping sound primarily on the passenger side, warmed up and at engine idle while outside the vehicle? The noise can not be heard inside the cab at any engine RPM. It is very annoying and sounds like a hamster wheel that needs to be oiled. At first i thought it was a pulley or serpentine belt. The noise is not at the front of the engine. I posted this issue about 6 months ago and only had one other person come forward with the same issue. Dealership could not give me a solution to the problem. I even had the service advisor start a new '16 model (about 5 months ago) on the lot with 14 miles and it chirped, worse than mine.
Anyone know what the deal is with this noise? Any TSB's? Seems like the abnormal noise is coming from inside the right side catalytic converter. Banging on the cat does not change the noise or make it rattle.
My truck is a '16 regular cab 4x4 built in Kansas City plant in April 2016.

Don't know about a chirping sound but mine does have a clicking or ticking sound. I don't think anything is wrong with it just normal operating sounds. There are a couple of F-250s at work with the 6.2 V8 and they make the same noise. Ford, for whatever reason, doesn't use any sound deadening covers on the V8s like the EB engines; intake manifold, and valve covers are in plain sight. There is some thick foam like material over the fuel rail and injectors. I guess it's just how Ford's OHC V8 sound.

Cause if so, I have it too. But it only happens every now and then. Not all the time. I heard only one person on another forum saying that they replaced the transmission pump, seal, etc and it went away. I heard about 2 people replacing the fuel pump and that worked. There was one on this forum that said it didn't work though. And almost all who replaced their right side turbo did no justice. I have no idea what it is. But when I was looking on YouTube videos and it appears more common with direct injection engines (high pressure fuel pump). But you have the 5.0. Mystery...

Just brought my truck home after the dealer had it for a week attemping to fix the same issue. They replaced a turbo once again after doing it in the summer to no avail. They've also replaced the high pressure pump which seemed to fix it for a few days and then it came right back. Not sure where to go from here. Oh I have the 2.7 btw
