Last I checked there is no speed boards posting your 1/4 mile times from stop light to stop light on them public roads..

All three are quick. I personally wanted the Ecoboost because I LOVE the sound of the turbos. That little whine makes up for the lack of V8 sound we've all grown to love.

I also love the power. The power of the 3.5 EB motor is amazing. Sport mode.. play mode for sure.

I got the 3.5 due to the turbos, new technology & the fact I plan on towing a 10k travel trailer often with it.

This truck is a lease, as will the next one be. I don't care/focus on reliability past the 36k mile marker. I just got the features, look & power I was looking for.

3.5 ecoboost with 12,200 towing capacity, 1,200 hitch weight & 1700# payload capacity. Paired with a panoramic roof, upgraded wheels & remote start. The pro-trailer assist package is also a very nice addition to wrap it all up.

Mileage sucks FYI at any speeds greater than 65mph. I did 75mph and took a noticeable hit. So much so I didn't even want to do the math lol

The 2.7l is impressive. If it weren't for the over pricing, we would had bought it in our 2017 Fusion instead of the 2.0l eco.

Iv ehad my 2.7 for two years now. At 60 mph it gets same or better mileage on the window sticker. This drops quick with speed as frontal area is big on trucks. I liked it because it makes about 50% more power at low revs here at 3300 ft altitude vs the 5.0. I had a couple 5.0 before and they were quick with the 3.73 gear. But in a highway drag to an identical truck with same fuel load the 5.0 just inched away at 70 mph and climbing. It being kn the revs by then. I just prefer the power down low without having to rev above 4000 to get somewhere. Course i cringe at the reliability cost differences at 160,000 miles so this one will be gone before the warranty runs out!

Drive the ECOs quite a bit and one thing I do not like about the 2.7 is the delay from idle to being on boost. See it most at a light and when transitioning from off throttle to hitting hard on the highway (imagine nailing the gas to pass a car that just made you slow down). Once on boost it has huge power. No doubt this is no issue at all for many, if not most, but it does bother me. This is not an issue on the 3.5 or the 5.0.

Now for the troll side. Question to all: What is the most power you can get out of each of these motors and fully maintain your factory warranty? To clarify. Take all three to the dealership and tell them give it all you got. Which one leaves the shop with over 600rwhp and a full warranty? Nuff said.

Actually with a Roush supercharger you don't get the full 5 year 60k mile power train warranty, you get 3 year 36k mile warranty. But you need deep pockets to go that route and the Roush tune sucks so most people get better tunes from other sources and there goes the warranty.

I know, but since when do we let all the facts out when trolling? Myself, I'd go whipple anyway, but reality is will leave it pretty much stock.

I know this sounds stupid but I very briefly considered the 2.7 until I heard a few people call it small which is a true statement. Something just didn't sit right with my engine being considered small or cute in a full size truck. I'm the type of guy to take a mustang over a Civic every single time even if that particular Civic is quicker or better handling than the mustang. That and the 5.0 just felt great and I got a great deal.

Guess i need to go drive a 2.7 and see what you're talking about because yeah the 3.5 doesn't have any feeling of lag off idle, if i mash it i'm doing a burnout with the quickness lol.
