I'm getting a 5.0 tomorrow and am considering the Livernois tuner but don't want complications with the warranty. If it's that much better I may have to roll the dice.

Here is some info and a dyno sheet since someone mentioned not seeing both from many companies.

The 87 octane performance tune is good for maximum gains of over 20hp and 13tq. Our 93 octane tuning sees maximum gains over 30hp and 32tq! In addition to these performance enhancements, we also spent a great deal of time improving throttle response, part throttle shifting, and working to ensure our updates play well in all 3 driving modes. Coupled with the performance upgrade, these drivability changes make the truck feel greatly improved in day to day usage.

As with all of our previous tuners, your purchase today gains you access to all future updates and revisions!

Do we have to use your tuner or can you provide a tune for an Xcal4.

Most users report an increase of 1-2 MPG depnding on the tune, how they drive, mods, octane, etc. Some have reported over 3 MPG better with mods and 93 octane tunes.

Here is a post I made the other day in regards to warranty questions.

Every vehicle we own and use to tune here are still under some form of manufacturer's warranty unless they have some major mods like built engines, aftermarket turbos, etc. We have Ford dealerships that buy our tuners and install them for their customers. If you research the whole " Custom tuning will void your warranty" statements that many believe is true, you would actually be surprised what you have found. Warranty honestly is a touchy subject for most people on here and we do our best to tell everyone that we recommend and open / honest relationship with your service writers. If you are concerned about their outlook on tuning then ask, but be sure to tell them it is a Livernois tune you are asking about. Many dealerships are well aware of our products and have no issues with them because they know of our reputation very well. We maintain a zero percent failure rate on our tuning and have tuned more F150s than anyone on the planet to my knowledge.

If you read into the most current legal rulings in regards to after market products you will see that they cannot simply void a warranty because you have a tuner.
"Dealerships and car companies are required to prove that any modification of the vehicle with aftermarket parts is the cause of the failure. In addition, even if the part in question caused the failure, does not mean a complete and ultimate void of the warranty, just in that particular case. For example if a turbo kit was installed that was proven to have caused engine damage, any other portion of the warranty, for example the radio or climate control malfunctioned, the warranty would still cover those items, exactly as they would if no modifications had been made."

To run our tunes you would need a Mycal tuner. We have developed our own proprietary tuning software that allows us to do things we could not using other 3rd party commercially available tuning software. Also keep in mind that we support our device for life so long as the original customer owns it. This includes updates for future modifications, newer tunes, custom revisions requested, and even will transfer the tuner to your next vehicle including new tunes so long as it is supported by the device. Most all of the newer 2010+ Ford Ecoboost and 5.0, 6.2, and 3.5 n/a platforms are all supported just as an FYI. So as long as the owner returns the 1st vehicle to stock and then contacts us with their next vehicles information we will remotely reinitialize the tuner and then set them up with brand new tune files for the new / replacement vehicle. We are the only tuner to my knowledge on the market that includes this type of continued support for our device. So it may not be the least expensive option but will end up paying for itself in the long run.

Glad to hear you enjoy the tune and thank you very much for the kind words as well!

If you are running a lower octane tune I would strongly suggest to get some premium next time you fill up and eventually give the 91 - 93 tunes a go. There is only so much that can be done on these vehicles using lower quality fuel. So the 87 -89 tunes are mostly going to show improvements in the throttle response and transmission calibrations. The 91-93 tunes especially at 3/4 to wide open throttle should be a night and day difference though compared to stock.

I can assure you our tunes are well worth the cost. If I were the owner I would gladly tell you to try our tuning and if you were not 100% satisfied I would give you a refund. Unfortunately this I cannot do as I just work here. Feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions on this or would like to place an order as well. If you place an order on the web put my name (Anthony) in the comments box and I will make sure we throw in some freebies like a license plate frame, decals, Powered by Livernois badges, etc.

I have an MPT tune now. It's absolutely outstanding. I was thinking of trying livernois though just for the hell of it. Tunes on the 5.0 alone wake the truck up significantly. Can you use the SCT 4 xcal for livernois as well?

Maybe it's time for a group buy on the 5.0 Livernois Tune?

I have the SCT for mine - still trying to work through the tweaks...

ran a tank of 87 for economy - did see a slight bump in mpg. Still having heavy right foot issues as I like the sound of my exhaust

running a tank of 91 now - performance is better - MPG is down... go figure

nothing like smoking the tires in a 4X4!

Has anyone compared livernois to MPT? Those 2 from what I have read continue to go unmatched but I haven't seen a direct comparison between them.
