5.0 Tune question

5.0 Tune question
May be a dumb question, but what's the difference between a tune and running in sport mode? I have no mods but will be adding a Borla catback in the near future. Just wondering if a tune does more than adjust shift points

sport mode really just adds more pedal sensitivity. a tune adjust timing, etc. and actually changes the trucks programming.
its best to stick with a reputable tuner. on thr 5.0 gains are just "ok". maybe 25-30 rwhp but beyond that you need to start throwing a lot of money into it. many love their tunes but you may or may not even notice the under 10% difference which will be higher in the rpm range anyways.

With a BOSS manifold, that jumps to 90 HP.
