Default 5.0 tripping

I have been on a few 1 hour or less drives with my 5.0 SCAB Lariat 5.0,3:31 and now have 5K on the vehicle.
Today's was on 4 lane controlled access, as well as secondary roads. 2.5 hours each way.
What a great drive! Acceleration was outstanding, blending into traffic flow. Loved the V8 actual sound)
I had a 2012 Lariat 3.55 ECO previously. The 5.0 is definitely not as quick as the ECO, but close enough for me. And the fuel consumption overall was better than what the ECO gave me, in a similar trip. 12.3 over 12.6 l/100km. So a savings in initial cost buying, and efficiency.
A further benefit to me was that the cooled seats performed well. Not as cold as the 2012 seats, but cold enough that I turned them off after 20 minutes of driving. Regular A/C did the job well after that.
My truck was out of Dearborn, and I picked it up May/2/2015
All distance references are metric

Damn Canadians and their metrics. Lol. Glad the new truck is doing well. What rear did your Eco have? That 3.31 is a highway gear so you should see better results on longer drives. I'm still curious as to how a similar equipped truck to mine would be on the 2015's. Interesting on the cooled seating. I was looking at that as an option for my next truck in a year or two. Might hold off.

Lmao. I work in a Canadian Ethanol plant built by an American company. All of our flows and tank capacities are in US gallons. All of the chemicals delivered are in either kilograms or litres so I am constantly thinking in both US gallons and Metric. Never mind the Imperial gallon we do our Canadian mileage in too.
