Default 5.0 Lover's take a look!

I just bought a 3.5 but might have waited if I knew this was coming down the pipe.

Just add a supercharger to your current 5.0 and save thousands and not look so cheesy in the process.

Exactly. I would much rather have a stockish looking truck with a Whipple than that abortion.

Does anyone think Ford is going to provide a full factory warranty on a SC engine putting out 600 hp? Good luck with that one....

more than likely its the Roush F150 rebagged as a Ford offering .. as jpmst3 said its probably cheaper to get a supercharger on your own

It doesn't matter, you can purchase a powertrain warranty through the supercharger manufacturer too. The 5.0 is a stout motor and can easily handle over 900 HP, 600 is a walk in the park. I see blown/twin turbo 5.0s at the track every weekend pushing well over 1000 HP and most are daily drivers and some with over 50K miles.

I guess if you're dropping this amount of coin on a "truck", it probably ain't a worry?

Cool to have more choices but no doubt they will ask a nice premium for that special model. I personally don't care much for the badging, unpainted flares or the wheels. I'd rather just bolt on a whipple. That was my plan for Christmas but I just had to buy a new HVAC system for the house so... piggy bank took a hit. Maybe this spring.
