Nope, not even if installed at Ford headquarters. Roush sells a supplemental warranty to cover the parts affected by the supercharger, but the factory powertrain warranty is pretty much null and void once the supercharger is installed. Of course the bumper to bumper warranty is still valid, and any parts whose potential failure can not be directly attributed to the supercharger still has warranty coverage as well. The misinformation regarding warranties and superchargers is immense, but know this: It doesn't matter what supercharger kit it is or who installs it, be it Roush, Whipple, Vortech, etc, the factory powertrain warranty will not cover failures caused by any aftermarket power adder. Additionally the Roush supercharger can be installed by any ASE certified mechanic per the Roush warranty, and the Roush warranty is very strict on what it covers and how its covered, but is also very clear and easy to understand. Also, the Roush warranty requires you to pay the repair costs then submit the receipts to them.

There was a good thread on this not too long ago and I posted much information, and even a direct copy of the Roush warranty itself.

There's a lot more components then just the engine I'd be concerned with at 600 hp let alone 900 hp? I own a SC'd vette that almost 700 hp and have been lucky with things like tranny, rear ends, drive shafts etc. However it's a garage queen so it doesn't see a lot of miles like my truck.... just saying.

If folks have the coin to replace what goes "boom" that's cool.... sooner or later when you are running boost something will go south imo! That's been my experience with boosted engines....

600 factory horsepower is going to be right under 500 at the tires.

If this still isn't Ford actually making one (judging from comments because i didn't read it, it's not) it's nothing new at all.

If Ford actually does a factory supercharged 5.0 i'll be amazed.

I think they'll do a smaller turbocharged v8 before they do a new supercharged 5.0.

Subject truck is no more a ford product than Tuscany/Shelby/whipple/roush and has no more of a factory warranty. It is absurd for the article to imply this is built by Ford. The Shelby/whipple truck’s have been available for several years and make 100+ more hp.

Well, of course you can and ultimately will break things if you are continually abuse/race them. That's the consequence of doubling the HP!
It is very rarely the tranny, usually universal joints, etc. If you have the money to supercharge the engine, you have the money to replace some other parts along the way.

Just keep the ability for the tires to spin and you probably won't break anything for quite some time with under 800,900 HP.. If you add wide drag slicks, you will definitely shorten the life of everything in the drive line.
