Default 4x4 rcsb lowering confused

I’ve spent the better part of 2 days reading and looking for a kit or products on this forum for lowering my 2017 regular cab 4wd 2 inches in the front and 4 inches in the back. I’ve already removed the blocks in the rear and on flat ground it’s 2 inches high in the back. I’ve emailed ground force and they never replied. I’m wondering if I need a shorter drive shaft I’ve heard yes and no and some say you need shims others say no. I also tow a boat so I know I’ll need helper bags or timbern blocks to keep it from bottoming out. I’m just confused on what really needs to happen.

Look up the new IHC kit. It’s the best thing out there right now. If that’s more than you want to spend the BellTech kits work on 4wd’s as well. There’s a sub-forum here for lowered trucks...you’ll find a lot of info in there too.

Disagree with the IHC kit for a mild lower. Maybe for more drop, but not a 2"4" kit. IMO your best bet is the Ford Motorsport kit which is made by Ground Force.

The Ford kit comes with angled shims for the diff and a spacer for the tranny. It removes the blocks and installs lowering shackles. The front is a shorter spring and a few other minor parts. You do not need a shorter drive shaft with the Ford kit and best of all you won't lose warranty.

EDIT: Towing is not impacted with the Ford kit, but you are closer to the stops. I'm not even close at 1000 tongue weight with weight distribution. Also regularly run 750 tongue weight without weight distribution and I've never hit the stops.

Something to consider for keeping it off the stops while towing. Basically engages the helper spring you already have earlier.

The IHC kit looks really appealing but a 4/6 minimum is probably too much for someone targeting a 2/4

This is where I get confused it says for super and super crew cabs but does anyone know if it works with regular cabs I don’t see why it wouldn’t but again just want a clear answer before I place an order thanks very much

Another member here just swapped in 2wd struts for 4wd struts and lowered front end by about 2 inches, he says it worked well, that is what i plan on doing. You would have to do some searching on the forum to find the thread.
