4x2 Level, Stock Wheels
I realize the topic of leveling has been covered over and over again, but I have a specific question I'm wondering about that I've had a hard time figuring out over a few days of searching the forum.
I'm picking up my XLT Sport 4x2 today and I want to put a level on it, but I'm not upgrading tires and wheels (not right now, anyway). My question is if I put on a 1.5" level to take off some of the rake, will it look funny with too much space in the wheel wells? My truck has the 18" wheels with the stock 265/60 tires.
Pictures would be awesome, but any feedback would be awesome from folks that have done the level on a 4x2 with 18" wheels, but not changed tire size.

Hey man... Just got my truck back last night after the tint and level Kit was done (Rough Country 2.5" Level Lift / Part Number:RC-569.20). So I must say I wasn't expecting quite as much rake as there is after the lift... It is more of a lift than a level for sure. I'm ok with it because it did level it a little bit better than stock. (Hope the Rear Strut will settle a little over time).
I love the height... Didn't measure the actual end results but its probably a hair taller than the stock 4x4... The ride definitely stiffened up a little using the Rough Country Strut and if I had to do it over I might ask if the Factory strut could be used on this set up (I don't know if the Rough Country is any longer to compensate for the lift or not).
Overall I am very please with the results and honestly it make the truck feel a little more like a truck than a "REALLY" big living room on wheels!!
I know your original question was about the wheel gap. Even with the basic street tire that's on there, I think it isn't too much. Personally I will be changing out to a More aggressive tire, probably a BFG KO2 275/60-20... Not 100% sure on actual tire or actual size yet...
Hope this helps man!!

It's a 2.5" Lift so front and back went up the same from my understanding, but it's a 2.5" block... I'm not sure if it had an effect by using a stiffer strut, hoping it settles down a little. Rake is definitely a little less than stock, but more than I hoped for sure
