Default 4G LTE hotspot on 2018 F150

I thought 2018 comes with 4G LTE hotspot but my dealer knows nothing about it when I pick up my F150. My understanding is that it comes with 3 months of free AT&T subscription. Anyone has it?

If you have sync connect, then you have the hot spot. You use the Ford pass app to activate the subscription. It's 3GB or 90 days free which ever gets used first.

So, I've got a 2018 lariat 502a coming in a couple weeks, and still not sure the exact benefit of this hotspot in the truck. Maybe for folks that don't have smart phones that already have ability to be a mobile hotspot?

You don't need SIM card or anything?

Its an AT&T pre provided thing, I wish you could install your own sim.

I never understood the hype about a vehicle coming with a hotspot. Chevy's been advertising it for years. Doesn't pretty much everyone, including their kids, have smart phones? Almost all of which can be a hotspot without paying an extra monthly fee.
