GMC to Ford

It sounds like you made out MUCH better than me on the lifetime warranty deal. My legal contract description was different than what the dealer advertised on their webpage.

Seems pretty clear that the dealer is trying to sham you into having them do work that is not required by the Ford Warranty.

They offer a "free" lifetime LIMITED warranty on the powertrain (you get 5 years, 60,000 miles from Ford) IF you do all "scheduled maintenance". Of course the Ford scheduled maintenance is minimal - oil change when the oil life indicator tells you to (and tire rotation then also), plus air filter every 30,000 miles. I suspect that their lifetime warranty has it's own schedule, that includes a whole bunch of unnecessary things designed to line their pockets.

To me, this is a clear indication that you should take your business elsewhere.
