Default 4 pin wiring harness

Anyone have any issues getting a 4 pin harness to connect to the truck?

I have an old trailer, & it plugged into my 2007 F150, but the connector doesn't seem like it will line up with the pins on the new F150.

2018 f150 with Max Tow.

Aren't all 4 pin wiring harnesses standard?

Two of my trailers use the 4 pin and they fit and work fine.

Your 2018 plug may be like mine and a very very tight fit. I have to push really hard to get it to connect and pull real hard to get it to disconnect. You have to eyeball it to make sure the male pins and female holes are lined up and then push it on with a lot of force. The first time I tried to connect it I also thought my trailer plug was the wrong kind but it wasn't.
