Default 4" and 5" lift, wheel, tire thread

I was thinking of going with a 6" lift but it may be too high for my wife.

Now looking into 4", possibly 5" lift.

I'd like to run 35 X 12.5 tires as much as possible and I would like to see pics.

Thanks.

difference will be unnoticeable when getting in and out if you use any kind of side step. Ideally, 6 inch kit with amp steps. If you dont use the steps, the 4 MIGHT be easier to get in than the 6, but minimal.

The only debate, IMO, is which looks better. The 4 inch looks good with 35s, but definitely doesnt look as tall as the 6. The 5 might be a happy medium as far as looks go.

I think it will be noticeable if you were 5'2" (wife's height). We are also planning to get pregnant soon (1st pregnancy). So that will also be a factor. Another reason I dont want to go much higher is the accesibility issue. I would love to go with the 6" and call it a day but with my situation, I see more cons going that route. I spoke with someone from Rough Country and I was told a 4" lift would clear a 9" wheel with -12 offset with 35x12.5" tires.

I'm going for the aggressive wheel and tire route. I like the tires to poke out past the wheel well about 1.5 to 2". If I have to go with 33" tires to achieve that look, I would consider that.

Thats why I opened this thread, I'd like to see actual pics.

here is a truck with just a 2.5" level and 35s -12mm offset wheels.

This with a 4" lift would look perfect IMO.

not a fan of the 6" lift. kind of impractical to me. i used to be all about lifted trucks, but now I prefer beefier and leveled/mild lift.

Looks awesome! I agree a 4" lift would be perfect.

Any rubbing issues with this set up? and how far does the tires stick out pass the fenders?

What size wheels are those? Can you post a picture of how far the wheels stick out from the fender?

the owner had to trim some plastic and modify the crash bars

I wonder how the truck would look with the stock wheels and 35s? This is why I am considering a 4" over the 6" because with the four inch they say you can run stock wheels
