360 Degree Camera - Parking Scenarios

I use mine everyday - invaluable. In fact, it was one of the bigger selling points for me. I have a short garage and very tight fit - only have 4-5" of total clearance front to back. so I have to get within 2" of the front wall. I've found that the 360, when set on the wide angle front view, is perfect for pulling close - I can use the bottom edge of the camera and line it up with a corresponding brick grout line, and then I know I'm at the right spot.
If I can get some time I'll take a picture of this and post - hard to describe it.
On the negative side, I do find that the 360 image shown, with the superimposed gray and yellow dotted lines for the sides of the car, don't allow me to clearly see a parking spot's lines - so can be a bit of a hit or miss when trying to center the exactly in the middle of a parking spot.

Forrest48, I had the same exact problem with not being able to select the tech package when building my Lariat with the 2.7 I had to have my dealer help me with building it exactly as I wanted it. But it is not just you....
I also have been brain storming what the 360 camera will help me with. I am not even sure the truck is going to fit in my garage...LOL..so that camera hopefully will work it's magic!

I've seem some general videos on the 360 camera, but no one seems to demonstrate the 2 scenarios that hope it would be useful for.
One is when you are swinging into a parking spot and you are not sure if you might clip the car next to you during the turn. Usually you backup up a bit to get a little straighter angle and then pull in, or someone waves you in, but I am wondering if the camera is accurate enough to see your actual clearance. If Ford draws a gray box around the truck and you can't actually see your own bumper would the camera help much?
The other situation is pulling into a garage with limited space where you need to pull forward right to within a few inches of the end of the garage. Same issue with the gray box blocking you from seeing your actual bumper. How well would the camera work in gauging such find tolerances?
Hopefully some of you new owners will have some answers. Thanks.

I will hopefully get mine in the next 30 days. Plan on using it heavily for parking as i am coming from an audi s4 to a truck.

Hate to be repetitive but I use it every day when parking. Especially nice for gas stations with the posts that usually are in front of parking spaced by the store. Great piece of mind. well worth the technology package costs! in my opinion

It would be interesting to see pictures of what the 360 camera sees when you have pulled up close to an object (pole, car, end of the garage), and then how close you really are to the object from outside the truck.
Is the gray box around the 360 view actually the edge of the truck, or is there a built in gap?
Is lane keeping a throw away feature just to get the 360 cameras, or do you like it as well?

I'll see if I can do a pic or two. I just tried out the lane keeping the other day and it works quite well. It doesn't initiate the correction until you are pretty close to the line, though. With a little software tweaking, Ford could keep the truck right in the center of the lane and with cruise control, even better, active cruise control, you'd be on autopilot : ) Wife says I have to leave the lane keeping on all the time from now on... what's that supposed to mean?

Just sayin...
