Assure you have the correct part number for the tank and fuel pump. Go to tasca and confirm. You can order from the dealer...haggle with them to get the price tasca offers. Obviously a junk yard tank is your best bet with a new pump.

How will you get the computer to recognize it so your DTE calculation is right?

Don't know yet...the actual fuel gauge will work....but I assume the Dte will be off until I burn through 13 gal

That's what I would I have thought, however others on the forum have reported that after swapping in the 36 gal tank that the DTE would remain the same regardless of how much they have driven. So that seems to be the big question, you would think the computer after averaging the MPG and distance traveled that it would automatically adjust the DTE but that doesn't seem to be the case. So it makes you wonder if its a software thing in the computer.

I wonder if they've driven at least 500 miles with the new tank? I remember reading somewhere that the RAFE (raw average fuel economy, IIRC) used to calculate DTE is set to 500 miles.

Good point, I'm not sure if any of them have driven more than the 353 miles or so that it lists with the 23 gallon tank.

I suspect the parameter specifying fuel tank size would need to be changed.

That's why I was thinking it's a software thing that would need to changed in order for it to work right, seems to me to a bit of a pain in the *** for something so simple

If you've got a new fuel pump and sending unit, then the DTE calculation should fix itself after 500 miles, since all the sending unit is doing is sending a signal to the computer saying there's X percentage of a full tank. If you use the old sending unit, I could understand why the DTE would never fix itself... it'd be confused.
