36 gallon fuel tank
#21
I optioned the larger tank when I ordered my truck. I do a monthly road trip that always required a fuel stop in the old Dodge truck. Now I make the round trip with no fuel stop. Funny thing is I still stop at the same gas station for snacks and a pit stop anyway. Still it's nice to go so long with out having to visit the pump.

A large fuel tank is a must have in my book. I had to scratch GM and Nissan off the buy list for this reason.
Nothing like towing and getting 10mpg or less and hoping to make it into the next town for fuel. LOL

Had the small tank on my 11 and love the 36 on my 16. Close to 700 per tank on my truck and $75 to 80 fillups. Not bad and it lasts me a week. Monday through Sunday on a regular run around and work week. I drive 80 ish miles round trip every day to work Mon-Fri.

I love the large tank on mine. It was close to bone dry this morning and put in 141 litres @ 1.06.9 per. $150.71 cents Canadian.

That's pretty dry dude...I believe the tank is 138L ? I love the big tank and I don't drive all that much. What it does allow me to do is avoid price fluctuations. Around here gas can spike 5-6 cents/L overnight.. sometimes between morning and night. That can be a difference of 8 dollars a tank. When prices jump I don't fill up, with for them to trend down and fill up at Costco (I rarely drop below a half tank). I haven't paid over 99.9 in the year I have had this truck and paid as low as 92.

I don't drive very much so my tank lasts about a month and a half to almost two months

I get about 600-700 mile range with mine on highway. Went from Boston to Florida on less than 2 tanks.

As I understand the mod you only need three parts:
36 gallon fuel tank Part # FL3Z-9002-C
Heat shield Part # FL3Z-9A032-C
Extended Range Fuel Pump Assembly Part # FL3Z-9H307-E
