Default 302A vs 501A

ok so I dont think I can afford a lariat 501A so I'm thinking of a XLT 302A

What is different?
I know: Leather vs cloth
Intelligent access (push button start)
grayish door panels instead of all black
spot light mirror
power fold..

Please keep going on whats different..

Thank You

color keyed outside door handles (i think)
heat cooled front seats
dual climate control
BLSS
Grill
remote, dampened tailgate
option for Sony Radio, no option on XLT (501A is the only way to buy the Sony w/o Nav)
4WD system is different

My favorite which I don't have are BLSS, power fold and leather. But leather can be added after the fact for a little over $1000

The cluster in front of the steering wheel is different. It is 8” vs ?. I have the 8” which does not display transmission Temp in degrees, it’s only a bar-graph. I believe the smaller version on the XLT shows degrees. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.
The 8” version has an option for a bar-graph for turbo boost, I don’t think that is available on the XLT.

The top of the dash has a softer material on the 501A. If your always fondling your dash, that may be important.

If you are going for the Lariat get the 502A, it has all the bells and whistles instead of adding the stuff later. I bought the 302A and regret not getting the 502A.

Default my experiences

We have a '15 XLT 302a with heated seats.....love the sport interior trim.......and also have on our farm '15 Lariat 502a.......the newer truck is truly a luxury....i enjoy it as much as some of my former high line cars.....I went from two vehicles to one and like most of all the auto headlight dimmer, rain sensor wipers, and cooled seats mentioned before.

The sport XLT is a real price bargain imho.....the sport cloth is very comfortable and I cannot tell much difference between the stereo systems as both are decent for OEM.

I went with XLT sport. With the current deals in Atlanta i couldn't justify 10k more for a Lariat. My previous F-150s were all Lariats

-Push button start
-Larger screen in instrument cluster
-4WD Automatic (different transfer case)
-Blindspot radar
-LED side lights in mirrors
-Grill

Some of the features in the 501A package are options on XLT

501A and XLT sport packages force you to have the console shifter, which takes up prime real estate for drinks, phone, wallet, junk, etc. For me, I prefer this extra space over the luxury comforts of 501A and sweet looks of the sport package... Just something to consider
