It turns out nobody actually stocks anything anymore, they just drop ship everything from the manufacturer. My eBay order was cancelled because apparently "more than 10 available" is just a soft number?

I'd be grateful if anyone has a lead on someone that actually has this bloody thing in stock and not for $755 USD!

I have been doing some investigating and measuring on my truck, and it appears that a 20" Luminix straight bar would fit behind the grille above the Ford emblem. It would require the grille to be disassembled and some custom brackets to hold it. With the light being so thin though I think it could easily fit without interfering with the shutter operation.

Has anyone else looked into this? Could be a good alternative if someone is after the hidden look. I might snag one in the next couple weeks when I have some time and give it a go.

That sounds like it would be a nice alternative. I like the look of the 30" below the grille and I imagine the 20" would be a good fit there as well. Behind the grille probably depends on which grille you have but I expect the Putco is definitely thin enough to get the job done. There's certainly enough room between the grille face and the louvers. Fabricating the bracket would be the most challenging part but if you know what you're doing it shouldn't be difficult; measuring and designing would probably be the lion's share of it.

Let me know if you even find one of these for sale. Everyone that I've tried to order the 30" through is either out of stock or is just a drop shipper that doesn't actually carry anything, and Putco doesn't have stock either. I've tried calling Putco multiple times and no one ever answers the phone. This is getting ridiculous, is this even a real company??

Yeah, I know. But it's the only lightbar I've seen that I really like because of how it blends in between the bumper and grille. I paid a bit less cause I had it shipped to work. Arrived today with no duties, taxes, or brokerage fees applicable so color me shocked (but then again, maybe UPS just billed it to my company's account... ). LOL
