Well considering there is a hole in the front of the bed wall that's pretty obvious. Guys Ford knew this time of damage is very possible from normal use. So why not use a different thickness of aluminum in the bed box it's self. Wait they did due that on the 2017 super duty beds. Also in the quantity amounts of aluminum that Ford is buying, I bet they are probably not paying much more than they did for the steel. Ford dropped the ball in a lot of other areas hoping that other things would make up for it. You can drink all the Ford Kool aid you want, but you still have to be realistic.

Years ago a blacksmith (yes we are still around) put an anvil in the back of his pickup rather than up against the front of the bed. Someone pulled out in front of him and the anvil came through the cab and killed him. Like someone said, physics.

I had a 1980 F150 back in the day. I had a keg of beer tied to the back against the tail gate. I had a lady pull out in front of me, the keg broke free when I slammed on the brakes. It hit dead center against the front and left one hell of a dent. All the way to the cab. I slide a 1 by in there to stop the rubbing and squeek. Face it aluminium tears steel bends. You didn't secure the Jack and it tore the aluminium. Ford is not responsible for you lack of knowledge of physics
