Today I called other dealers in my area and got pretty much the same story. Frankly, I think it's a little bit ridiculous. What the service writer told me is that I can set an appointment to bring in the vehicle to be dropped off. Then someone will get to it within a few days but definitely not the day that I bring it in. I thought about trying what mcr1911 suggested and bring it in a day later, but figured that would just get me on the "naughty list."
