Default 3.5L EB & speeding tickets

I don't know if I am the only one experiencing this but my 2015 3.5L EB feels so great on the highway that in the 4 months I have owned it I have received 2 speeding tickets already. Going 80 mph in 60 mph speed zones. I haven't received a speeding tickets for about 7 years. I swear I just don't feel it, I don't feel like I am gunning it, it just doesn't strain itself or break a sweat. I have to really watch the speedometer. I'm not complaining, but my wife certainly is...lol.

I also have a 1997 F150 and a 2007 Doge Ram 2500 and the Ram also rides nice at that speed but not like this 2015. Just thought I'd share.

I feel like it's not a bragging right to say youre 1 ticket away from a potential suspension...?

I also think its against the forum rules to gloat about reckless driving.

I think you should watch the speedometer instead of the odometer.

You need to have your wife program your FOB into a My Key and set the speed limit to 60 mph.

Do what I did invest in a medium to high-end radar detector. Probably going to be $150 to $400. Valentine known to be one of the best also Escort and Bell are both good. Run it 100% of the time don't get lazy learn what frequencies the police use (example K,KA). Also if the officer is stationary he might be using laser. Laser is hard for the radar to pick up because it has to hit the radar and normally they point at a headlight or license plate for the bounce back. Like I said with laser the officer has to be stationary and it can not go through glass. Radar is what sits on the dash and penetrates glass windshield to get your speed. Radar is much much easier to pick up and its what is used majority of the time. Understand the tool and you will have better results.

One saved ticked its paid for its self. Also drive safe.

Really? 80 in a 60? You would have to be a huge A hole to that cop to get him to write you for RD for 20 over.

I think what the OP is trying to get across is that between the quiet smooth ride of the truck and the power of the engine you hardly notice how fast you're going.

I like this app, it works well for offline navigation and beeps at you if you exceed the speed limit:
