Default 3.5" Readylift SST Kit Alignment issues

I just had the Readylift 3.5 SST Kit installed on my 2018 F150. The shop that did it also installed 17"x8.5" wheels with 315/70/17 BFG KO2's.
The installer and I had agreed that I would pick it up and have the alignment done at one of my customer's shops (I'm in the sign business).
That was probably an unwise decision on my part. I had no idea how much experience he had with level/lifts and the other shop did these all
the time for the installer of the kit.

What I thought would be routine has turned out not to be. The guy doing the alignment was pretty adamant about them not being able to align
the front wheels without more/different parts. I told him that I'm sure there are many of these kits sold/installed and I'm sure Readylift could help
us. When I left today he was still exchanging pics with one of Readylift's engineers.

My question is, has anyone here had the same exact kit installed and had alignment issues directly afterwards? I've done extensive reading and
I know how many of you feel about the extreme angles of this type of kit. I'm not fragile. I'm sure I'll see many of the same types of comments that
I read before when researching and I will just scroll past and probably smile, but I really would like to hear from people who have real experience
with this kit.

Thanks in advance!

My guess is they want to install cam bolts? Why not just take it back to the installer that does them all the time?

That's the thing, the alignment guy hasn't really made any "real" suggestions yet. I figured I'd let this run it's course and maybe the Readylift engineer
would offer a simple solution. I want to avoid driving it anymore than I have to and the kit installer is about 35 miles away. I suspect this is what I'll have
to ultimately do, though.

The alignment can be done without the cam bolts. Cam bolts make it easier.

Default Any updates?!?! Same issue...

hey so I was wondering what you ended up having to do to get proper alignment? I had this kit installed today and the installer ran into the same issues. Claim I need to get cam bolts - ready lift claims they shouldn’t be needed and wants me to get them on the phone when I get my truck back to the shop so they can help try and diagnose/troubleshoot. That’s all fine and good but it’s gonna be a few weeks before it can happen so any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated!

I wish I could offer some help, but probably can’t. I took my truck back to the shop that installed it and they double checked all the measurements with tech support to confirm everything was installed correctly and the kit contained the correct parts. That was all correct so they then sent it to the alignment shop they regularly use. No problems with the alignment.

Only thing i can can come up with is the first guy that attempted just wasn’t very experienced with these types of kits.

I just don’t understand why people keep on installing these leveling kits, it’s too much for the front ends, do it correct and lift it , no CV issues correct geometry, I speak from experience, I had a 3” and had several issues, installed a 4” Fabtech night and day difference.

It's not too much for the front ends if you don't go more than 2 inches. I have experience as well and I have had no issues with multiple leveling kits. There is no cv issue with our trucks and a 2 inch level either. The cv's only come into play while in 4wd, which for the average user is not very often.
