with the 3.5 and 2.7 don't worry about what the rear ratio is unless you're towing heavier than 5000 lbs or you're putting bigger tires on it. If you're doing neither literally whatever ratio the truck you're looking at and like has is fine. They make enough power and torque you won't even be able to notice.
My 3.5 super crew with 3.15's felt better than a 5.0 with 3.55's driving around like normal.

Have you driven it? Asking members will help a bit but only you will be able to say for sure whether you like it or not.

'17 2.7 Scab, 6 speed auto, 3.55s. 18.7 overall mpg, high 22.3, low 14.somthing. Speedy, unfazed by hills or high altitude. (Runs the same at 8000 feet) On road trips I spend most of the time between 1500-2000 rpm. Mileage drops as speed goes up, nothing unique to the 2.7 on that.
If you are not towing you will be very happy with the 2.7.

I was hesitant to get the 2.7 instead of the 3.5 but I am glad that I did. The gas mileage is amazing-19.6 MPG since i got it 6,000 miles ago (According to the dash) and i really haven't been trying to achieve good mileage. My 2011 5.0 averaged 15 when i tried to get good mileage and usually 14 or less when I just drove regular. Overall it is as fast as and as powerful as the 5.0. Unless you intend on towing regularly, you will be just fine with the 2.7.

I'm on my second 2.7 F150. Loved the first one so much, it was my choice engine for truck #2 as well. For me, it's the perfect blend of power, refinement, and efficiency, for a half ton P/U. I also pull a 5K# tandem flatbed trailer, and the 2.7/10AT is a towing beast. I can regularly get 16-18 mpg's while towing, with power to spare. Averaging 22-24 in normal unloaded driving. Yes, I've driven the 3.5 & 5.0, but always come back to the 2.7. Just a fantastic all-around engine, that responds so well to whatever you're doing.

Longer bed on Super Cab yes but nothing in it, but more glass and more Aluminum and I bet the seats are also heavier in the Crew Cab!!I bet the Super Cab with 6 1/2' bed would have to be lighter than a Crew Cab 5 1/2 Foot bed!!
