Default 285/65-18 on 2015 xlt 2wd

I'm getting conflicting information so I thought I would ask here. I have an opportunity to purchase some bf Goodrich ta ko2's for a really good price in 285/65-18. When I plug these in they show to be 32.6 in diameter. My truck is all stock at the moment meaning not leveled. I will level in the next month or so. I think I should be able to run the tires on my stock truck as I ran 275/60-20 on my stock 12 fx2 with no problems. Does anybody have any first hand info on this size tire on a 2wd truck?

Just gonna bump this up one more time. I have to make a decision on tires tomorrow so hoping somebody can chime in with some insight.

I don't have first hand knowledge of those tire sizes on a 2015 but you are going both wider and taller. I would expect some rubbing until you level it out.

I do understand that. My thing is did something change on the '15 trucks because I was able to run 275/60-20 on my stock rims on my '12 fx2 without any rubbing.

You may want to check the recommended rim width for the 285s you intend to use. I have not found a 275 or higher that is specced for 7.5in width rims (the stock width for the standard factory 17s and 18s offered on f150s). The 275/55/r20s that come on the factory 20 inch rims are fine because the 20 inch rims are 8.5 in wide.
