275/70R18 BFG KO2 Photos Please
If you have photos of your truck with BFG 275/70R18 KO2's installed, I would really like to take a look. I just swapped my factory tires for a set of Toyo ATII's 285/75R18's and I think they might be a little too tall and heavy for my 2.7 with 3.55 gears because my MPGs really took a nosedive. I am thinking about swapping to the 275/70s but I would like to see some photos.
Thanks

Don't think the 275/70s will make much of a difference. The problem is that you're using a LT tire that's E rated. The 10 ply tires really add quite a bit of unsprung weight to the car. for example, I had geolandar g015 on my last truck and the LT version E rated weight around 58 lbs each while the passenger version weighed 45 lbs. 13 lbs of rotating mass is huge per axle.
Edit: checked up and the Toyos and noticed they weigh 62.4 lbs each.. that's a heavy tire! I think the KO2s in the size you're looking for weighs 57 lbs. You should notice an improvement on MPG.

Thanks for the reply. I agree, between the weight and height difference in the tires, I think they turbos won't be working as hard and I will see an MPG bump. Right now, at 60 MPH, the truck really doesn't want to shift into 10th gear. I think the tires are just too much of a load and the height of the tires is just too much for the 3.55 gears.

Are there are C rated LT tires in the sizes you're looking for? at 285/70/17, BFG KO2 made a C rated and E. The weight difference was approximately 5 lbs. I didn't notice any different in my MPG going from OE Goodyear wranglers 275/65/18 to the KO2s... but then again, i went with lighter wheels

Not sure if you are set on the KO2s, but for me I really wanted a P/SL tire since I don't tow much and wanted to keep a nice ride and similar MPG to stock. If it were me I would look at Toyo AT/II, Nitto Terra Grap G2s, or Cooper Discoverer AT3 all come in a similar SL 275/65/18 and weigh under 45lbs or so.
