Default 2107 XLT with no heated mirrors

Just picked up my F150 Monday. No heated mirrors. I can't believe this isn't a standard feature. Especially in Ontario

That should come as no surprise as the vehicle options and specs were known by both parties prior to signing the sales contract. If you know it didn't have heated mirrors and still chose to buy I don't really see grounds for a complaint.

My point is - this should be a standard feature. Block heater and rear defrost are included. I haven't had a vehicle in the last 20 years that didn't have them. I guess I should take nothing for-granted.

If the truck has the 8-pin connectors, would heated mirrors work when the rear window defroster is activated? Or does Ford not activate that feature through the mirror harness when the truck is built without heated mirrors?

a voltmeter could answer that fairly quickly.

And they tease you every time you look in the mirror because even the unheated ones have the heated symbol on the glass

Ken.... If you have a heated rear window, the defrost button runs the mirrors and the rear window defrost together on the same switch. It took reading some posts here before I figured that out....There was a separate switch on my 2009 F150 XLT for the heated mirrors, so when I couldn't find it on the 2016, I figured I lost that feature in the upgrade.....Turned out it was there.

Maybe I was wrong....I just looked up the 2016 301A package and it says the mirrors are heated. Is the symbol on the mirror supposed to light up when activated? My doesn't which is why I didn't thing they were active. Feeling pretty stupid now.

I have the same thing, No Heat, No turn , so spare me the aggravation of taking my mirrors off and looking, are they a 8 pin plug still?

If so I will just replace with a set I found on craigslist that have heat and turn plug can i plug em in and will I be good to go? to do I need to goto Forscan.

Thanks in advance guys...
