I saw the post about which setting the recall changes but what is everyone doing that have changed something in the BCM with FORScan? Will Ford ONLY be changing the BCM settings?

My 2018 Lariat isn't going to the dealer for this recall. What a stupid waste of time.

I hate to say it I don't think I will take mine either. I skipped the frozen door latches and will probably skip this one. Actually might be useful to have a little extra light on-demand when/if needed. I guess just turn the dial back to "on" right?

The recall includes F150s with LED head lights manufactured between Jan 5, 2017, and Oct 10, 2019.
I lucked out on this recall twice. My old 2017 was built 11/7/16 and my new 2020 was built 2/26/20.

It's not a bad idea to have the option of brighter DRLs (switch in manual), or dim (switch in auto). And if somebody wants to make the recall themselves with FORScan, this is the change needed, so easy peasy :

726-26-02 x1xx xxxx xxxx. This is the recall change. Before recall, it should read: x0xx xxxx xxxx. Hope this helps.

Ok so apparently no one does service at the Dealer while under warranty so I guess I'll just roll the dice.

I've owned Fords in the past. A Ford dealership service dept will not be putting their hands on my truck unless it's absolutely necessary. I'll service it myself or have it serviced at private shops unless it's a TSB, warranty claim, or recall that's legit. I don't trust their work, period.

Super, Thank you.

I put a mirror in front of the truck last week and couldn't see a difference with the switch in different positions.
After your post I looked at my as built and it is already x1xx. Guess that is why.
Thanks again for the post.

Is there a way to mark this recall as having been done in Ford's systems so they don't do it automatically when it's in for something else?
