I live up north in Michigan and its been snowing almost nonstop since Thanksgiving. The ACC works flawlessly but I would be braking a little sooner incase of less than ideal traction.
Butch you just motivated me to retackle this project. I thought it wouldn't be possible with a 302A XLT. I currently have the lane keep assist working (jumped module with a wire since I didn't have the physical switch) so it will keep me in lanes but no way to read cars in front. Can't wait to dive in

Default Adding

Good luck with adding the ACC. I bought a momentary push button switch from auto zone and installed it in the IPMA cover for the lane assist control. You can turn it off/on that way. Haven’t really used it since installing. But it’s there and looks good. Factory vehicles had the switch by the shift lever on center console I can’t really understand why they put it all the way down there.

The ACC installation really wasn’t that bad once I accumulated all the components necessary. I highly recommend buying the IPMA jumper wire set from Ford to make the connections there as the terminal pins are extremely small.

Thank you for that. I was under the impression I had to use the IDS software but saw in the threads it may no longer be required after all. As a fellow 302a, do you mind confirming what parts I actually need?

I know for sure the Control Module but now I'm wondering if I even need the new ABS module. I'll check again for a parts list in the thread

You've motivated me as well haha
Is repining the harness still necessary?

Default ACC

Yes you will have to add 2 can wires to the connector on the windshield camera and run them down the A pillar through the firewall to the connector going to the radar module. Those two wires + a power and ground.
I made local power and ground in the engine compartment. I used one of those fuse piggy backs in the fuse box and grounded to an existing body ground lug.
I got a new ABS module and programmed with IDS but have heard some say their existing module worked. I’d say give it a try using the existing ABS and then change it out if that doesn’t work. It was about $350 for a module on eBay and $100 or so for a short term IDS license. I used the IDS license to update several other modules on my vehicle while I had it. IDS did a scan of the system and told me updates were available.

Actually doesn't sound too bad, I have a similar setup but its for my DRL headlights to the fuse box.
If I were to buy the distance sensor, do you know if it can do anything else without the ABS module? I'm considering buy one to just try it but would want to make sure its working before buying the ABS Module

Default ACC Install

Once you install the CCM and get it wired up do a fresh scan with Forescan. (Press No when it asks you if you want to load existing profiles). Forescan should detect the CCM module if you did the wiring correctly. You will get error messages that the module needs calibration and cruise control not available. You may get configuration errors for the ABS and ABS not available messages

Question about the IPMA settings that are listed in the @Livnitup FORScan 2015-2020 F150s spreadsheet. Seems the settings listed for the addresses don't match up with As-Built nor changes the ACC forum states to make.
As-Built 706-01-01 0905 58A9 7593
Current Setting (Added LKA in 2020) - 706-01-01 0905 59C9 75xx
Setting change for ACC per all forums - 706-01-01 xxxx 9xxx 69E7

Reviewing other donor vin as-builts (research I did years prior and documented) the settings for IPMA match but the spreadsheet does not.

This is the spreadsheet I am referencing.

Thanks
Billy

So how did you clear the configuration errors for the ABS and all the ABS/Brake messages? I tried to run CCM Calibration but it fails as soon as I tell it to start. I am guessing it is because the ABS errors.

thanks
