I'm hoping to help a forum member at his house in a few weeks with his 2019 ACC mod. Not sure if I'll use IDS or FDRS yet but whichever we use, I have a plan to get the FORScan developers some **cough cough** "useful information" from this that may open up this mod so that FORScan will be capable of performing it in the future without IDS/FDRS.

Also, I've mapped out the 2018-2019 ABS on a new spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=921381236

Cool let us know how that works out! I'm learning that I bought the wrong truck, used from Enterprises Rental with 19,300 miles on it, as I have figured out now after the fact it has the 500a package which is going to make me work a lot harder adding things I want; ACC, Rear Park Sensor, and 360 cam (but that one might be the easiest).

Also thanks for keeping the spreadsheet up to date and welcome back.

@Livnitup that’s great.

do you know what CADS sensor they will be using? The one I got H1BZ-9E731-AE is actually what’s showing for a 2019 and one of the Ford websites said it was the replacement for JX7Z-9E731-E. I don’t know if it’s correct. I can’t get the CCM codes to write which in my comment above I had to use the same format as the ABS for it to accept not what was in the steps that @KR2019 had. I tried to do the CCM calibration tonight and I did not have an error so it didn’t calibrate. Then I tried to do the IPMA calibration and I got a front camera error on my cluster and that failed.

At the end of this fiasco I went back to the ccm module and the values were back to the default of zero’s. So I don’t know what is going on and I will probably go back to my default setting to get rid of the codes and wait to see what you come up with.

I believe H1BZ-9E731-AE is what shipped on the 2018s and I believe JX7Z-9E731-E would ship on a 2019. The first letter of the part # is the year so H=2017 and J=2018 so doesn't make sense that H1BZ-9E731-AE would replace JX7Z-9E731-E. Note: the year of the part doesn't necessarily correspond to the year of the truck so don't let that throw you.

The part that's confusing to me is that you got an error writing 764-01-01 05XX XXXX XX because this should write on a 2018 or 2019 CCM so something else is going on here. If you paste all the CCM values you're using I can take a better look to see if something else other than the value above is causing the write error in FORScan.

I guess that is what I get for believing oemfordparts. I guess I have to buy the JX part now. Do you think the same CADS harness will fit or do I need to buy that too?

That is where it gets confusing based off what the two part numbers say they are for:

https://parts.livermoreford.com/oem-...sor-jx7z9e731e
JX7Z-9E731-E --
  • Electrical. Without pre-crash. Adaptive cruise sensor. Without adj. speed limiting. With collision mitigation, with collision mitigation.
https://parts.livermoreford.com/oem-...or-h1bz9e731ae
H1BZ-9E731-AE --
  • With cads iii. Adaptive cruise sensor assy. 2018-20, electrical components, with pre-crash.
  • Replaces:H1BZ-9E731-C
This is why I am looking at getting the H1BZ-9E731-AE as I have pre-crash on my 2019 Lariat but what I can't find is what is the difference between Pre-crash and Collision Mitigation. hmmm

Here are the values I was using. And here is my VIN 1FTEW1E42KFC30760 If you need to double check.

You have a mistake in 764-01-01, should be 0531 4654 45xx if the values shown in red are what you actually used.

Don't pay too much attention to the description Ford lists for parts because I've seen modules listed as switches and other things that would leave you scratching your head. I pullled a 2019 Limited VIN in ETIS and it shows this for CCM: JX7T-9G768-AD which would equate to JX7Z-9E731-E (one is the part # and one the engineering # but they denote the same part). Below is that same VIN pulled up in MicroCat (same parts system that your Ford dealership uses) and you can see the description shows CADSIII:

@Livnitup Thanks again for your help but let me ask you this. In 764-01-01 you state 05xx xxxx xxxx, I have another vin 2019 Lariat that has a 12xx xxxx xxxx that has ACC. Do you know what difference would be using 05 or 12? I was double checking all the numbers again between mine and the other 2 vin’s and found it and wanted to ask.
donor vin 1FTFW1E44KFC25211

Also, 764-01-04 the instructions have xxxx xx00 001x the vin that I referenced above and my other donor vin both have xxxx xx00 000x. Wouldn’t that be part of the checksum and it would be irrelevant because it would change to something else? Or because it’s using the vin there is a specific meaning with those numbers?
