Honestly, the FORDPASS app is pretty well useless, unless you have remote unlock in conjunction with the fordconnect.

I mean, why do I need to know fuel level and tire pressure levels when I can just see that in-truck on the instrument panel?

How did everyone permanently activate their service, meaning after the 3Gb trial? I added mine to my preexisting AT&T account as an new device with unlimited service (22Gb then throttling) for $20. The lady I spoke with on the phone at AT&T set it up to begin the fake unlimited after the 3Gb trial was consumed.

Spent an hour on the phone with ATT, they claim that Ford sent a software update Friday and that this is what is causing the issues, there is no tentative fix date yet. Called Ford pass as well and they are aware of problems but don’t have a solution either.

Exclamation

sounds like where I work. H.O. pushes out software dates, and screws everything up the next day.

Why can't you use your phone as a hot spot? Wouldn't this save you $20 / month?

Id say that’s what most will do.

However I don’t have unlimited plan and it would cost more than $20 with my provider to do so. I also don’t have att so if my phone don’t have service I’ll benefit also from att hotspot as well

that is if they get if fixed 😀

Depending on your provider, your coverage might be lacking in certain areas. And I'm going to also go with, a vehicle that has built in hot spot probably has a better/more powerful antenna then your phone for the signal.
