Default 2018 Wifi Hotspot Issues / Ford Pass

I've only had my 2018 F150 for roughly 3 weeks and everything worked great but starting Friday the Wifi Hotspot connects to my devices but has no internet connection out. In addition, the Ford Pass app. doesn't seem to refresh or connect to the vehicle at all.


I contacted Ford who said there is a Ford Pass outage right now and AT&T have opened trouble tickets but said they do not see any issues. Is it possible the Ford Pass outage is affecting the hot spots too?


Is anyone else having any issues with their new 2018 Wifi?


I've tried to do a factory reset via Sync 3 with no luck too.

I have a 2017 and the Wifi is working fine............ Just went outside and checked it again and it's working

I have same issue as well.....my vehicle hasn’t updated status since last Friday and when I called they also said there was an outage. My daughter was able to use her iPad on a drive Saturday with the hotspot but haven’t checked that since. Hopefully they get this figured out soon.

My FordPass hasn’t worked since Friday on my 2018 and the WiFi also isn’t working.

That's really strange. My FordPass updated at 11:57 AM 10/10/17 with my fuel and location. That was correct so yea it's working ok. Perhaps it's certain sections or the country that aren't working?

How does that help the OP? In the OP it is stated that he is able to connect to the wireless hotspot but that the hotspot is not connecting to the AT&T network to get data. I am going to assume that you were not able to test that since only the 2018 F150s have Ford Pass.

NO the 2017's have Ford pass also........ At least that's what it's called on my phone!!! Look at the picture I posted. I believe that's CALLED FordPass......

The Ford Pass wireless hotspot or is it just Ford Pass the app for remote start and location tracking? I didn't know that, thanks for the info.

I applogize because I believe you are correct!! FordPass is there but without the Hotspot!! That started for 2018's.... I didn't realize the difference... Thanks

i am having the same issue with my truck says I am connected but no data is being transmitted I am a service manager for ford I have spent countless hours on the phone with ford and at&t and they have not been able to figure out the issue yet
